Canister Emptier serves as a delivery point for duplicants to release canistered gases back into the world, similar to the way a Bottle Emptier works with bottled liquids. This enables the player to capture gases from specific areas and release them in small quantities at distant locations without the need to construct a series of gas pipes. This can be useful for making precise atmospheric adjustments in areas where certain elements are needed, such as chlorine for a Balm Lily farm or hydrogen for a Drecko stable.
Mechanics[ | ]
The canister emptier has an element filter, allowing the player to specify the types of canistered gases to be delivered to it. Gas canisters can be most easily obtained by creating them with a Canister Filler or by removing gases directly from a gas pipe via a duplicant possessing the plumber trait.
It seems that there is no maximum pressure limit to release the gas, what together with a Liquid Airlock, can be used to store large amount of gases in very small room. However, this method requires manual duplicants' work.
