Filtration Medium is one of the types of Resources. They are used in anything that filters either air or water. Deodorizers turn it into Clay and Water Sieves turn it into Polluted Dirt.

Tips[]
- Regolith can easily be obtained from meteors in the base game, but is much more rare in Spaced Out!, only being available in finite amounts in Space Biomes until reaching the Regolith Asteroid.
- Sand can easily obtained by crushing many materials in the Rock Crusher.
- 100 kg of Raw Mineral (other than Fossil) can be converted to 100 kg of Sand.
- 100 kg of Metal Ore can be converted to 50 kg of Sand and 50 kg of the corresponding Refined Metal.
- 100 kg of Salt can be converted to 100 kg of Sand and 5 kg of Table Salt.
- A Dasha Saltvine with a steady supply of Chlorine will produce more mass in Salt than it requires Sand to grow.
- A Deodorizer produces more Clay than it consumes Sand. Making this Clay into Ceramic and crushing it as Raw Mineral will produce a net increase in Sand as long as Coal and Polluted Oxygen are available.
