Jumbo Battery is used to store extra power that your duplicants create. It must be tied via power wires to run. It uses power when no duplicants/machines produce power until it runs out of stored power. The power in the battery slowly dissipates when not in use. It has the most power density among batteries.
Tips[ | ]
- Make sure to build your Batteries on the same circuit as your power generators. Otherwise your power generators will continuously run - even if the Batteries' charge threshold has been met.
- For optimal performance you should follow "Power Generation → Heavi-Watt Wire → Power Transformer" pattern. This helps avoid overloading the wires and saves the time and resources that would be spend on maintenance.
- Despite 5x runoff, 2.5x heat output and lack of automation connection Jumbo Batteries are not fully outclassed by Smart Batteries, as they require no refined metals and can be automated by a combination of timers and transformer-based gates. This, for example, allows to halve the size of Solar Panel's backup battery array.

- The designs of the all three batteries is based off the first actual battery, called Voltaic pile, which consisted of Zinc-Copper discs on top of each other repeatedly.
