Liquid Carbon Dioxide is the liquid state of Carbon Dioxide. It is converted from Carbon Dioxide by cooling it down to -51.15 °C (-58.27 °F) (condensation point - 3 °C).

Production[]

Carbon Dioxide Geysers produce Liquid Carbon Dioxide at various rate. In normal game, the Liquid Carbon Dioxide quickly evaporates into Gas state if not pumped.

Tips[]

Liquid Carbon Dioxide can be pumped like other Liquids, but because of its liquid temperature range of just 8 degrees, it should only be moved through Insulated Liquid Pipe, otherwise you'll risk pipe damage.

Trivia[]

Under regular atmospheric conditions, real-life Carbon Dioxide actually bypasses the liquid phase entirely. Only above a pressure of 518 kPa, about five times standard atmospheric pressure, does liquid Carbon Dioxide actually form. However, ONI does not simulate the influence of pressure on phase transitions, and includes liquid Carbon Dioxide.
