Mafic Rock is first and foremost attractive due to its comparatively low Thermal Conductivity, which makes it a quite decent insulator. However, due it not being a Plumbable, it cannot be used to build (Insulated) Liquid Pipes. So, if Insulation or Ceramic aren't available in bulk, Mafic Rock is a good substitute for use in Insulated Tiles and Insulated Gas Pipes.
- Although its description states that Mafic Rock is Iron rich, there is no way to extract any Iron from it.
