Plastic Ladder is used to boost duplicant climbing speed on main ladders.
Mechanics[ | ]
Duplicants can jump 1 tile to reach ladders.
Ladders can act as solid ground for duplicants to stand on when they work (digging, building, etc...). It however does not count as a foundation for buildings. Duplicants can walk on it but will try to jump over it when the ladder is between two other tiles.
Advanced mechanics[ | ]
Ladders emit -5 decor in 1 tile radius. Duplicants can climb horizontal ladders as long as they can step on ladders bottom or top and have 1 empty space above. They can reach a 2x3 area opposite corner using 2 ladder pieces in L shape. They can reach a ladder starting 1 tile above ground or a ladder which has 1 spacing between steps. They can dig 2 tiles away from it, except diagonally. Elements and liquids fall through it, and it does not obstruct airflow. Duplicants can even sleep on it but it is not comfortable.
Tips[ | ]
- Plastic melts at 159.9°C, so avoid using Plastic Ladders in hot environments.
- Although the tooltip says plastic is antiseptic, it has no in-game effect.
