The Trailblazer Module sends a Duplicant in a Lander to a new Planetoid without a Rocket Platform.

It needs to be filled manually with 400kg Refined Metal, the same metal type as the Module itself has been built with. This material will later become the Trailblazer Lander.

Deployment is available while in a Starmap hex adjacent to a Planetoid.

Tip[ | ]

  • Sending two Dupes to a new Planetoid and deconstructing their Trailblazer Lander(400kg) gives exactly the amount of material needed for a Rocket Platform (800kg)
  • The Trailblazer Lander provides no life support. It is only a means to transport a Duplicant to the surface of an asteroid that has no Rocket Platform. It also cannot be used to return to the Rocket from which it deployed. Therefore, the player must be careful that a deployed Duplicant doesn't suffocate before building a Rocket Platform, enabling the Rocket to land.
  • When a Dupe emerges from a Trialblazer Lander, they will have many of their parameters reset as if they had been freshly printed. For example Calories, Breath, Stress, Bladder and Rad Accumulation are all reset. The value is usually quite close to the optimal (e.g. Calories is set to 3500). Because of this reset it is unnecessary and a waste of resources to take care of a dupe who is going to use a Trailblazer, provided they don't actually die from neglect.
