Verdante Asteroid is an Asteroid Type in the game of Oxygen Not Included. Due to several factors Verdante Asteroid can be considered a preset of advanced difficulty. It should be noted that Verdante always has the Irregular Oil modifier, even if it is not rolled during worldgen — oil is found in unexpected places.

Example Verdante world. Notice that there is no uniform Oil Biome near the bottom; rather, there are patch variants scattered all over the map. There also are no Frozen Biomes.

Important Resources[]
Oxygen[]
There are some challenge in the early game as Forest Biome contains little Water that can be electrolyzed into Oxygen. Player shall more aggressively dig out and find a Rust Biome. After that Rust and Salt can be turned into Oxygen.
Water[]
Verdante lacks Water in the early game. Player must find a Swamp Biome to filter the Polluted Water, or find a Tide Pool Biome to turn Salt Water into Water.
Polluted Water[]
Swamp Biome has Polluted Water.
Raw Minerals[]
Forest Biome has large quantities of Igneous Rock. Swamp Biome and Tide Pool Biome provides Sedimentary Rock.
Metal Ore[]
Forest Biome has large quantities of Aluminum Ore. Caustic Biome provides Iron Ore. Swamp Biome provides Gold Amalgam.
Verdante lacks of Wolframite.
Reed Fiber[]
Thimble Reed is available in Swamp Biome.
Crude Oil[]
The Patch variant of Oil Biome has Crude Oil and Oil Reservoir.

Following Plants are not available in Verdante:
- Bristle Blossom (can be printed in care package)

Ranching[]
Following Critters are available in Verdante and can be tamed:
Hatch is not available in Verdante. Player has to wait for Printing Pod to print them.
Industry[]
There is only one hatch on Verdante. Coal production is slowed until the Printing Pod could print some Hatches, or one increases numbers.
Heat Management[]
The Frozen Biome is not available in Verdante. As a result, there is neither Anti Entropy Thermo-Nullifier nor Wheezewort. This may bring some challenge in the mid game. If present, a Cool Slush Geyser may provide similar benefit, alternatively a Steam Turbine/Thermal Aquatuner combination provide late game cooling solutions.
